Substation 2 Coming to You!

Commencement Ceremony for Substation #2 - Boozey Creek Rd.

We are thrilled to announce a new substation for the Hiltons Volunteer Fire Department! Station 2, located at 6863 Boozy Creek Road, on the far eastern edge of our fire district, is the new home for our mini-pumper, Unit 406. This expansion allows us to better serve our community and enhance our firefighting capabilities. The members responding to this station are a group of dedicated volunteers that will improve Hilton’s VFDs ability to provide fire services to our residents through quicker responses to their calls in that area.

Again, we are so happy to announce of a new substation for the Hiltons Volunteer Fire Department! Station #2, located at 6863 Boozy Creek Road, on the far eastern edge of our fire district, is the new home for our mini-pumper, Unit 406. This expansion allows us to better serve our community and enhance our firefighting capabilities.

A substation in this area has been a long time coming and would not have been possible without the dedicated work and service of Volunteer Larry Musick. He never gave up on the dream of having fire services for this area.

The Sr. Firefighter in charge of Station #2 is Jimmy Singleton. A founding member and 18 year veteran of the Green Springs VFD in Washington County VA who now resides on Boozy Creek in Scott County. Jimmy has been with HVFD for over two years now and has completed over 200 hours of training to be ready to lead the team.

In addition to Larry and Jimmy, Station #2 is the home station for Joanie Cox-Smith and David Musick, both of whom grew up in the area and are now living there as well. They are both planning to be enrolled in significant training after the first of the year as well to help in providing top notch fire services for our residents.
